Description

Nycon-200 (Itraconazole Capsules BP) is a prescription medication belonging to the antifungal class. It is used to treat fungal infections affecting various parts of the body, including the skin, nails, scalp, and vagina. In some cases, it may also be effective against certain fungal infections that spread throughout the body (systemic fungal infections).

Itraconazole works by interfering with the growth of fungi. Fungi require a specific substance to build their cell walls. This medication disrupts the production of this substance, hindering the fungus’s ability to grow and multiply. This eventually leads to the death of the fungal cells and clears the infection.

Nycon-200 comes in capsule form and is typically taken once or twice daily, with or without food, depending on the specific infection being treated. The duration of treatment will vary based on the type and severity of the infection.
