NYCID (Magaldrate & Simethicone Oral Suspension IP) is a medication that combines two ingredients to relieve stomach discomfort. Magaldrate, an antacid, neutralizes excess stomach acid, which can cause heartburn, indigestion, and stomach upset. Simethicone, an anti-foaming agent, works by breaking down gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines. This allows the gas to pass more easily through burping or flatulence, reducing bloating and discomfort.
NYCID comes in a liquid suspension form for easy administration. It is typically taken after meals and before bed, or as directed by a healthcare professional.
